'God is Red' - Liao Yiwu finds strength in anger
Two works by the Chinese writer Liao Yiwu are being published this summer
in the West. Last year, he was allowed to leave China for the first time
ever and went to Germany. He has been banned from travelling again.

South Koreans celebrate winning Winter Olympics bid
South Koreans woke up on Thursday to news that their nation will host the
2018 Winter Olympics. After two consecutive unsuccessful bids, Pyeongchang
won over the International Olympic Committee judges in South Africa.

Father of Pakistan's atomic bomb says North Korea bribed for info
According to a report in the Washington Post, nuclear scientist Abdul
Qadeer Khan transferred over three million dollars from N Korea to
Pakistani officials before sharing sensitive information about nuclear
technology.

India's health minister has sparked a furious row by describing
